Sewing, Fitting, and Designing Knit Tops with Angela Wolf
3 Hour Virtual Class
Angela will start by sharing a few fitting tips for knit tops including bust, hip, gapping neckline, working with darts, and bicep adjustments to name a few.
She will then teach techniques for sewing and hemming knits with a sewing machine, serger, and coverstitch machine.
Lastly, she will then show how to take a simple t-shirt pattern and design different styles including:
- Altering body styles
- Sleeve variations
- bell sleeve
- gathered sleeve
- flowy short sleeve
- Collar variations
- twisted neckline
- sporty v-neck
- cape style turtleneck
This is a 3 hour live virtual class with time for Q&A and the replay will be available for 30 days.

Hi Angela! I was an avid sewer in the 70s and 80s, but life came along, and sewing had to be put on the back burner. During that time I worked at Stretch & Sew part-time and loved it.

Thank goodness there are still sewing teachers out there. It is a true shame that our schools no longer do the job as they once did. My HS experience was excellent but that was in the 60’s. Now, if you want to learn, this is the only way. Thank goodness for you.

Can’t get enough education. Although I have been sewing for many years, there is always something new.
I have yet to sew clothing, unless you count a headband as clothing. Knit fabric is so comfortable to wear. This seems like a great class for me to learn the skills that I need to go for it & begin creating my new wardrobe.

Watching your videos and learning your tricks has kept my

Hello! I made a dress of knit. Didn’t know to use a stretch stitch and heard a stitch popped when I moved my arms when I wore it to church. Didn’t sew much after that. This looks like a it would be a great class. I want to sign up but my schedule is really crazy right now because my husband has prostrate cancer and my daughter in law has end stage colon, liver and lung cancer.
If I sign up will I be able to put in on my ipad to watch any time I have a few minutes no matter where I am? My concern is I won’t be able to get the 3 hours in before the 30 days is up.
